An Important Update from New Hampshire Open MRI

We are sad to announce that New Hampshire Open MRI has closed as of October 30, 2026. After 19 years of serving the Upper Valley’s community, we have made the difficult decision to close New Hampshire Open MRI and focus our resources on the continued growth of Vermont OPEN Imaging. This decision was made with one priority in mind: continuing to provide patients with high-quality imaging, advanced technology, a comfortable experience, and the personal service at an affordable price that has always been central to our practice. We are incredibly grateful to the patients, referring providers, employees, and community partners who have supported us over the past 19 years. It has truly been an honor to serve you. 

We sincerely hope to continue serving many of our New Hampshire patients in Barre. We know it may be a longer drive, and we will do everything we can to make it worth the trip—with the space, openness, personal attention, quality of care and affordability you have come to expect from us. 

Our new Vermont OPEN Imaging location in Barre, Vermont will be located at:  856 US Route 302 (aka Barre-Montpelier Road), Barre VT

The new Barre center will feature a brand-new Fuji Velocity 1.2T True Open MRI with: 

  • A spacious, true open design similar to what our New Hampshire patients are accustomed. 

  • Advanced AI technology designed to support higher image resolution and faster scan times. 

  • Image quality comparable to a hospital-based 1.5T closed MRI scanner. 

  • The same commitment to comfort, access, and excellent customer service. 

  • A familiar face: our longtime New Hampshire MRI technologist, Ben, will also be continuing with us in Barre, providing the same personal care our patients have come to know.

For our New Hampshire patients: 

  • All records and images will be maintained for 10 years from the date of last service for all New Hampshire Open MRI exams by contacting Vermont OPEN Imaging. 

For our New Hampshire Referring providers: 

Sending a referral will continue to be as easy as faxing to 802-863-9979. We will obtain prior authorization and reach out to your patient to schedule and screen.
